Colour selections

At last I think I am getting somewhere with my colour selections. The large tile is for the bathrooms and the small piece of caesarstone is ginger for benchtops. I have taken the photo with the samples sitting on the concrete verandah at the rental.

The rough drawings

The architect arrived today, feeling very nervous. She has given us a very modern, low maintenance home and didn't know how we would feel about it. She shouldn't have worried.

We love it. It's just perfect for us and our tribe of grandchildren. I can't get the smile off my face!

The rental

I have found a unit to rent. It wasn't easy as most landlords want 12 months lease and I only wanted 6 months. It looks OK on the outside but is pretty shoddy inside. It is handy to the block though and I can put up with it for 6-8 months (I hope).

The architect.

I took the architect up to the block at the weekend. I said I'd never build another two story.

She was horrified. She has talked me into having the master bedroom and sitting room upstairs so we can see the bay. She was amazing and seemed to understand me. I can't wait to see the rough sketches.

The new block

The start of the new adventure.
We have just purchased a corner block and now the fun begins. We won't have the title till about March but I have plenty of ideas.
